Anyone I consider close knows about my path, and those that have a problem with it are not close for long.
My religion is private, but it’s intensely important to me that those I am close with respect that my faith is serious and important to me. If they’re going to treat it like it’s a “quaint little hobby” I’ve picked up, or tell me that having faith at all makes me stupid, or any of the other myriad offensive things that have been done and said to me, they can fuck right off.
No friendship is worth that headache. Gods before … um… mortals. So does not have the same ring as “Bros before hos” or “Sistas before mistas”.
