I have two. Made them both. One is a piece of driftwood, because I felt that contained all the elements (earth, fire — sun, water, air). I carved it a bit and put a crystal in the tip before wrapping it up in leather. Eventually the leather came off and I wrapped it up in red and white ribbons.
The other is cedar, carved by me in First Nations class. I carved the word “MUDBLOOD” into the handle, and it’s shaped like a Harry Potter wand. I use it magically.
